Who is Anders Behring Breivik?

I am starting to wonder if the media is faced with the dilemma of correctly labelling the Norwegian shooter, Anders Behring Breivik. Having committed one of the most horrendous crimes that claimed the lives of as many as 80 innocent people, I have yet to come across a major news channel or newspaper that would label him as being a ‘terrorist.’

Dictionary.com defines terrorism as the systematic use of violence and intimidation to achieve some goal systematic use of violence and intimidation to achieve some goal.

Being widely referred as the shooter, perpetrator or suspect, the question remains whether or not, does the act of bombing a country’s capital and killing as many as 77 people in a shootout to convey your opinion and/or thoughts about a certain issue, qualifies as a terrorist act?

If not, what does? Or does the term terrorist only apply if you are a Muslim? Has the word over the last few decades, evolved to be applied only to those who kill or commit atrocities in the name of Islam?
